Bletilla ochracea Dawns Early Light Orange/Peach Flowering Plants and an array of misconceptionsBletilla ochracea is one of the prizes of the orchid genus, Bletilla, hailing from southern China into Vietnam. We acquired this form as Bletilla ochracea light yellow, so we added the cultivar name, Bletilla 'Dawn's Early Light'. Starting in mid June and continuing into August (NC), the 30" tall spikes emerge from the wide, pleated green foliage, each laden with 3 5 flowers which emerge light yellow and age to white, with a bright golden orange lip.
